Shane Starrett's first shutout of the season helped Glasgow Clan go back into fifth in the Premier Sports Elite League standings.
The Clan netminder stopped all 24 shots sent his way by Guildford Flames on Thursday night as the hosts ran out 3-0 winners.
It took Nolan LaPorte only 30 seconds to break the deadlock at Braehead Arena when he finished off at the back post from Mathieu Roy's cross-crease feed.
Colton Yellow horn converted a powerplay opportunity 3:55 into period two, finding the gap at the far post with a shot from the circle, to double Clan's lead.
Guillaume Gauthier kept the puck alive in the offensive zone and then beat two defensemen plus goalie Hughes to make it 3-0 at 45:30 which would be the game's final goal.
