Coventry Blaze ended a six-game winless streak with a well-earned 4-2 win in Glasgow over the Clan on Saturday night.
Shane Starrett made an excellent double save as the Blaze broke shorthanded to keep the scores level early on, but could do nothing to keep out Evan Bloodoff's opener on the powerplay at 8:10
A little over three minutes later, Jonny Curran doubled the visitors' lead with a nice shot that flew past Starrett, however Clan pulled a goal back through a nice individual effort from Rodney Southam 1:20 later.
Coventry got the only goal of the middle period to go back two ahead. While Cody Sol sat an interference minor, nice passing from the Blaze eventually set up Luke Ferrara for the slapshot past Starrett at 28:46.
Nolan LaPorte brought Clan back to within one with 2:55 left to play, but Mitch Cook rounded off the blaze's win with 41 seconds to go.
