Tonight: Devils host playoff-chasing Stars

Cardiff Devils welcome Dundee Stars to Ice Arena Wales on Friday night in what could be a prelude to a playoffs Quarter-Final tie.

The Devils have been in an odd position for several months now of being out of the league title race, but almost guaranteed to finish no lower than third. Jarrod Skalde's men were heavily beaten at home by Sheffield last time out, and have lost their last two games. They will be aiming to ensure they're in good form by the time the playoffs come around.

Dundee are one of four teams separated by just two points played from fifth to eighth. The Stars have games in hand on both of the sides just above them and, were they to move up one play between now and the end of the season, would face Cardiff in the Quarter-Finals. Omar Pacha will however likely be hoping that his team can still finish as high as fifth.

The Stars won the only league meeting between the teams in Cardiff so far this season, and have beaten the Devils on Tayside in two league, and one cup, fixtures so far this season.
