Nine games down in Week 28, and four more to go this Sunday afternoon as we edge ever closer to the culmination of the 2021/22 Premier Sports Elite League season.
In the league title race, both Belfast and Sheffield have done what they needed to do this week and neither has given up any ground to the other so far. The Giants host Guildford at 4pm today as they aim to stay four points ahead in the standings. At 5.30pm, Sheffield make their second trip of the week to Manchester. The top two play each other twice next weekend in games that could ultimately decide the league title, and neither will want to drop any points before then.

Elsewhere at 4pm, Nottingham Panthers return home to face Coventry Blaze. While the Panthers are five points ahead having played a game more, the two teams are set to meet twice in the next seven days - if the Blaze want to have any chance of finishing fourth, it'll need to start today.

Sunday ends with a Scottish derby in Kirkcaldy. Dundee, riding the momentum of their overtime win in Glasgow, could extend the gap between themselves and Clan with a win here, plus could also end the night in fifth if Coventry fail to win. Fife will be mathematically eliminated from playoff contention if they fail to pick up at least a point.
