Tonight: Stars eyeing race for fourth when Panthers visit

Dundee Stars host Nottingham Panthers on Wednesday night in a game that could keep their chances of finishing fourth very much alive.

The Stars are six points shy of the Panthers having played one game fewer, but with the Panthers also playing Coventry at the weekend there could feasibly be three teams battling it out for fourth place going into the final weekend of the season.

Dundee's overtime win in Glasgow snapped their losing run, but a disappointing defeat in Fife left them on 45 points from 48 games. 

Nottingham, meanwhile, had a disappointing weekend shipping 16 goals while only scoring six themselves. The Panthers are likely to still be without starting goalie Kevin Carr and have Will Kerlin between the pipes. Dundee continue to ride Brython Preece who has six wins from 14 games this season.
