Tonight: Blaze on cusp of securing playoffs - Flames need to pull away

Guildford Flames host Coventry Blaze for the second time in just over a week as both teams try to lock in their places in the 2021/22 Premier Sports Playoffs.

The Flames head into their final five games of the season four points ahead of Manchester who are chasing them down for the final playoff place, but are well aware that the two teams will face each other twice on the final weekend of the season. If the Flames can get themselves at least five points ahead before those games, they'll be safely heading into the Quarter-Finals.

Coventry are one of two teams that are looking to chase Nottingham down and finish the season in fourth. The blaze's 10-4 win against the Panthers put them three points behind with a game in hand. They will meet against on Saturday, but Danny Stewart's men could put themselves into an excellent position with road points from the Spectrum.
