Glasgow Clan secured their place in the playoffs and also eliminated Manchester Storm from contention with a 7-4 win at Braehead Arena.
Mathieu Roy was the star of the show for the hosts, hitting a hat trick. He opened the scoring at 10:52 with the opening period's only goal.
Dallas Ehrhardt tied things up 1:57 into period two, but two goals 90 seconds apart from Nolan LaPorte and Roy again put the Clan 4-1 ahead. Scott Simmonds pulled one back for Storm at 37:01 to bring the visitors back to within two.
Guillaume Gauthier made it 5-2 3:16 into period three, and although Simmons again pulled one back for the visitors Braylon Shmyr responded three minutes later to make it 6-3.
Jared Vanwormer again brought Storm back to within two, but Roy's hat trick goal on the empty net rounded things off with 33 seconds to play.
