Fife Flyers avenged a 5-1 home defeat by Dundee by denting the Stars' hopes of finishing the season in the top five with a 4-2 victory on Tayside.
Carson Stadnyk put the Flyers ahead at just past the five-minute mark, with the visitors going two ahead through James Isaacs at 12:44.
Spencer Dorowicz pulled one back with 15 seconds left in the period, and 54 seconds into period two Charlie Combs levelled things.
However, from the very next faceoff the Flyers won the puck, headed forward, and Jacob Benson tipped Matt Carter's shot through Brython Preece's five-hole to put the Flyers back in the lead.
Benson scored on the powerplay with 12:29 to play which gave the Flyers some breathing space. Shane Owen made 51 saves on the night to earn his team the win.
