Fans turn out for Giants homecoming

Belfast Giants players and staff were given a hero's welcome when they touched down at Belfast International Airport on Monday lunchtime.

Fans waited in the arrivals hall for the team as they flew back from Birmingham after clinching the league title in Sheffield on Sunday evening. The Giants are, technically, back-to-back Elite League Champions after no trophy was awarded when the 2019/20 season was cut short to COVID-19.

The team also secured a place in the 2022/23 Champions Hockey League by winning the league title.
