Blaze make it another 4-point weekend

It’s now back to back four-point weekends for Coventry, the Blaze’s win tonight has now moved them up to inside the top three.
It was a real seesaw game at the Skydome, with Nottingham taking the lead 4:18 in through Adam Deutsch. That lead held for over half an hour, until Evan Bloodoff levelled things up from close range at 35:43.
The Panthers thought they’d head into the break ahead after Ollie Betteridge’s goal with 49 seconds left in the period, but Andrew Johnston tied the game seven seconds before the intermission buzzer. Luke Ferrara then gave Coventry their first lead of the night at 43:49, only for Brett Bulmer to tie things up just under two minutes later.
Ferrara however would have the last word, putting the Blaze back ahead at 48:12 into a lead they wouldn’t surrender – despite some late pressure from the Panthers, who could probably feel hard done by to have not earned a point.
