Giants complete Devils exhibition sweep

Belfast Giants opened their home preseason campaign with a 5-1 win over Cardiff Devils less than 24 hours after taking a 3-1 victory at Ice Arena Wales.

Goals inside the opening 10 miutes rom Scott Conway ad Chad Butcher put the hosts in charge, followed by Ciaran Long at 17:53 to make it a 3-0 lead after the opening period. Joey Martin got the Devils on the board at 27:41, but just over two minutes later Steve Owre restored the hosts' three-goal advantage.

Captain David Goodwin netted past Will Kerlin, taking the Devils' et for the third period, to complete a 5-1 win.
