Big crowds heading into the international break have helped the Elite League's crowds to increase season on season as we enter the final stage of 2022/23.

Attendances for league games to date put the average crowd at 3,055 spectators per game through 192 matches so far this season across the Viaplay Elite League - up from 2,885 in 2021/22 (+5.89%).

Some 720,000 fans have already been through the doors of the league's ten arenas so far this season.

Belfast Giants have had crowds of over 6,000 for their past five straight home games with a couple of sell-outs thrown in. They are averaging almost 1,500 more fans each home game than last season, while Sheffield Steelers top the league's average at 6,677. Nottingham Panthers' average attendances are also some 400 fans higher than last season.

In total, nine of the league's 10 teams are averaging higher crowds through the first six months of this season than in 2021/22.
