25-year-old forward Henrik Samuelsson has been added to Manchester Storm's roster, as Head Coach Ryan Finnerty looks to improve on the team's start to this campaign.
A former Round 1 draft pick in 2012, Samuelsson has spent the last few seasons in the AHL and ECHL clocking up 210 and 72 games respectively in those leagues.
The forward has dual American and Swedish citizenship and is the son of former NHLer Ulf Samuelsson.
“We welcome Henrik who’s a big right shot C/RW with a great resume. I’m sure our fans will make him feel welcomed come Saturday,” said Finnerty, who also announced that this arrival means forward Mario Puskarich will be leaving the team. “It’s an extremely tough decision to release a player at any time during the season, and with Mario it’s no different. He’s a great player and a wonderful person. We want to wish him the best going forward.”
