Elite League referee Liam Sewell has been selected to officiate at the 2023 IIHF World Championships in Riga and Tampere.

"Liam worked the IIHF World Championships Division 1A last season but for him to make the elite group this year is a very proud moment for both himself and all of our officials," said Head of Hockey Operations Mike Hicks. "Liam's selection for this level is very well deserved, and he has worked hard for it over a number of seasons, including this one where he has also been officiating at games in both Denmark and the DEL as well as the EIHL."
Congratulations, Liam!
