Final day of Continental Cup Group E

Nottingham Panthers to face Danish hosts

Nottingham Panthers go into the final day of competition in Group E of the Continental Cup with the possibility of three teams being tied on three points, following their loss to Ferencváros on Saturday.

The Panthers will most likely need a regulation win to have any chance of getting through to the final round. Different permutations arise depending on the result of the earlier game between Amiens and Ferencváros, but three points for the Panthers will ensure they make the next stage one way or another.- the most likely of which is a three-way tie between then, Ferencváros and SønderjyskE.

Hear the Panthers discuss the tie-break possibilities here.

"We didn't stick to our game plan against Ferencváros, and although the effort was there the to quick-fire goals made the difference. However, in this type of tournament, you have to learn to shake it off and be ready to go again. We have to relish the opportunity of playing the host team, and get the job done." - Mark Matheson (Assistant Coach, Nottingham Panthers)
