Sewell assigned to World Championships Bronze Medal Game

Elite League referee Liam Sewell has been assigned to Sunday's Bronze medal game at the IIHF World Championships.

Alongside Czech official Jan Hribik, Sewell will referee USA vs. Latvia as the sides battle for third place at the 2024 Championships.

Sewell, who is officiating at his first top-flight World Championships, will end the tournament having worked 10 games. He refereed eight in the group stage stage before being allocated the Quarter-Final between the USA and Czech Republic.

"Huge congratulations to Liam on this final assignment at the 2024 Worlds, it's a great honour for him," said Head of Hockey Operations Mike Hicks. "We are all very proud of his achievements in Riga and Tampere, and showing the pathway for our officials."
