Storm sign young goalie Oldale

Manchester Storm announced the signing of goalie Alex Oldale on Friday as part of their plans for the 2023/24 season.

The 18-year-old will be making his professional debut with the Storm after spending last season in Blackburn in NIHL1. He previously developed through the Sheffield junior system. Last season, he stopped 90.2% of shots faced for the Hawks.

Matt Ginn, Storm Head Coach, had this to say about the young goaltender: “I’m happy to bring Alex onboard. He’s a talented, young goalie that really earned this opportunity with us. He trained with us last season and impressed the players and the staff with his ability, work ethic and compete level. I look forward to working with Alex and helping him to continue to develop at the pro level.”
