Merchant heads into Manchester

Manchester Storm announced the signing of Will Merchant Friday morning as they continue to build for 2023/24.

A 29-year-old American, Merchant spent last season in Denmark with Esbjerg scoring 16 goals and assisting on nine others in 47 appearances. Prior to moving to Europe, the forward was at the University of Maine. He then began life in the ECHL with 46 and 48-point hauls in Idaho. He then spent a year in Greenville before returning to the Steelheads for two 36-point seasons. 

"Will is a player that contributes in all facets of the game. He can play up and down the lineup and is another player that has worn a letter in the past," explained Head Coach Matt Ginn. "His experience and winning pedigree will be something that is invaluable to our group and relied heavily on. I’m thrilled to bring Will to Manchester and know he’ll quickly become a fan favourite.”
