Schedule for the next round revealed
Following the conclusion of the Challenge Cup 'Play-In' Round and subsequent game picks by seeded teams on Wednesday night, the Elite Ice Hockey League is pleased to confirm the schedule for the Challenge Cup Quarter-Finals:
Friday 22 November
1930 Dundee Stars vs. Glasgow Clan
Wednesday 11 December
1930 Belfast Giants vs. Cardiff Devils
1930 Nottingham Panthers vs. Guildford Flames
1930 Sheffield Steelers vs. Manchester Storm
1930 Glasgow Clan vs. Dundee Stars - second leg
Wednesday 18 December
1930 Cardiff Devils vs. Belfast Giants
1930 Guildford Flames vs. Nottingham Panthers
1930 Manchester Storm vs. Sheffield Steelers
Ties are a home and away, aggregate-scoring series. FreeSports will show two live games which will be announced in due course.
Semi-Finals
As with last season, the highest-ranked team left in the competition plays the lowest-ranked team left in the first SF, and the remaining two teams meet in the second SF. The option of home advantage again goes to the team with the higher ranking (subject to ice availability). For clarity, the ranking of teams after the Group Stage is:
