Giants win it with 4 seconds left in OT!

Belfast Giants have given themselves a chance of making the CHL Round of 16 after a last-gasp overtime winner against Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday night.
A crowd of over 5,057 at the SSE Arena saw the Giants and Red Bull go scoreless through 60 minutes in a penalty-laden game where the hosts had several 5-on-3 chances that went begging, before being forced to kill off two minor penalties inside the final three minutes of the match.
If the final minutes hadn't been nervy enough, overtime was more so with only a few stoppages in play. The Giants had Tyler Beskorowany to thank for a 33-shot shutout - his second in consecutive CHL games. With less than ten seconds remaining the Giants broke on a 2-on-1 rush and top scorer Daniel Tedesco pulled an excellent move on Atte Tolvanen to win it for the hosts.
In truth, both sides needed three points to have a better chance of going into Gameday 6 with a great chance of qualifying - however, the Giants will most certainly take two. They will need to beat Czech side Dynamo Pardubice to advance, and hope results elsewhere go in their favour.
