Flames down league leaders

Guildford Flames pulled off an excellent two-goal win against the league leaders to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat against Manchester.
After a scoreless opening period, Ian Watters tapped home from close range at 34:18 to put the Flames ahead, but their lead lasted only a minute until Matt Meca tied things up.
In the final period however it was the Flames who took over with two quick powerplay goals from Jamie Crooks and TJ Foster at 51:32 and 53:38 respectively. Chad Rau made things interesting when he pulled one back for the Clan with just under four minutes to go, but Kruise Reddick's empty netter at 59:03 secured the points for the Flames.
