Tributes to Adam Johnson
There will be tributes to Adam Johnson ahead of all games taking place in the Elite League this weekend. The head coaches of both teams will jointly lay a wreath on the ice ahead of the opening faceoff. After a video celebrating Adam's life is played in areas with video walls, everyone in attendance will be invited to observe a minute's silence in memory of Adam, followed by a minute's applause.
We would also like to actively encourage further fan-led tributes before, during or after the game. It has been a very sad and difficult week for many people in both our and the wider wider ice hockey community, and we hope that fans from across the league will feel able to come together this weekend and remember Adam.
Many of us are still coming to terms what the tragic events of last weekend, and may find today's tributes very moving. Please continue to support each other as you have done so wonderfully over the past week.
