It's a full, five-game schedule for our first Saturday night of 2024. All ten teams are in action as teams approach the halfway point of their league season.
Belfast Giants face Fife Flyers from 7pm at the SSE Arena as both teams look to put disappointing Christmas periods behind them. The Giants were beaten by Glasgow and dropped a point in Dundee as they slipped to 11 points off top spot. Fife managed a Hogmanay win over Glasgow to end their losing run, but have been boosted by the news that Kevin Lindskoug's ITC was cleared on Friday and he is eligible to ice tonight. Belfast meanwhile re-signed Will Cullen after adding Miles Gendron to Injured Reserve.

Dundee Stars welcome Coventry Blaze to Tayside as sixth plays seventh. The teams are separated by only a point, but the Blaze have played three games fewer. The Stars have picked up seven points out of the last ten on offer, while the Blaze have won two games straight, both over Nottingham, since ending a losing slide. Johnny Curran is back on the Blaze roster after transferring from Belfast during the week.

In Manchester, Cardiff Devils are the visitors to the Storm Shelter, with the hosts hoping to return Evan Weninger back into their lineup. Storm took a Boxing Day win over Guildford, but that is their only victory in their last in their last four games, seeing them slip to eighth. Cardiff have lost their last three games following defeats to Guildford and Sheffield.

Nottingham Panthers are looking to end their seven-game loss streak when they face the last team they beat - Guildford Flames. It was an excellent festive period for the Flames, who picked up seven points from four games and have climbed up to fourth in the standings. The Panthers trail the playoff places by five points with four games in hand.

At the Utilita Arena, Sheffield Steelers and Glasgow Clan renew hostilities after facing each other on Friday night in Braehead. Clan battled well but were unable to stop the Steelers continuing their unbeaten road record. They are, however, one of only a few teams this season to have beaten them in Sheffield.
