With over half of the games in the 2023/24 Elite League regular season now completed, we have officially entered the 'second half' of the season.
There is a full schedule of five games on offer on Saturday!
A sold-out Braehead Arena awaits Glasgow Clan in their Challenge Cup Semi-Final, first leg, fixture against Guildford Flames. Clan have never made a final in the Elite League, while Guildford were beaten in their only appearance in 2019. Whatever happens, both sides are a two-game series away from a shot at their first-ever major EIHL trophy. Clan are 2&0 at home to the Flames so far this season, but having lost their only game of the season in Guildford 7-2, they'll be keen to head down south next month with a lead.

Dundee Stars travel to Cardiff with the possibility of going level on points with the Devils on Saturday night. Cardiff were in IIHF Continental Cup action last weekend and slipped to fourth in the standings by virtue of other results, but have at least two games in hand on the teams above them. Dundee were beaten in Sheffield last Sunday to end their record of having picked up at least a point in five straight games. Cardiff are unbeaten at home to the Stars since December 2021.

Five points separate Coventry Blaze from Manchester Storm ahead of their clash at the Storm Shelter. A run of five wins from their last six games as seen the Blaze move up to fifth overall and, with games in hand, looking at breaking into the top four. Manchester, meanwhile, have managed only one win in seven - form that has seen them slip to eighth.

Nottingham Panthers and Belfast Giants meet again a week after contesting a double-header in Northern Ireland. The Giants won both of those games to temporarily go second, and end a two-game loss streak. Nottingham slipped back to the foot of the table following those losses, and Fife's OT point in Coventry.

League leaders Sheffield Steelers visit ninth-placed Fife Flyers in Yorkshire with both teams in very different situations. The Steelers have a healthy 13-point lead at the top of the standings, while Fife are three points off a playoff place. The "Road Blokes" have also yet to lose an away game this season, with 13 straight league victories away from home. Fife's last league win over the Steelers was in March 2022.
