Cardiff Devils have a special home St. David's Day fixture, entertaining Guildford Flames just five days after the sides last met. That game saw the Devils come back from two down before the Flames tied it up late, and then Cardiff eventually won on a shootout. It was also a feisty encounter which could have implications for tonight. Guildford are without a win in seven games, while Cardiff won both games last weekend after a midweek defeat in Nottingham,.

Belfast Giants begin their home double-header with Coventry Blaze in what has been a truly difficult week for the visitors. That the Blaze players and staff feel able to play this weekend's fixtures should be applauded in itself following the tragic passing of their Assistant Coach Dayle Keen earlier this week.

In Glasgow, it's a 'must win' weekend double between the Clan and Fife Flyers. the Teams will face each other again 24 hours later in Kirkcaldy, with the Flyers three points outside a playoff place and only having nine games left to play after these games. Glasgow have a three point gap between them and Dundee above them, and the Flyers chasing below.

Manchester Storm host Dundee Stars in a huge clash in the race to not only finish as high as possible in the playoff places, but also stay in them. The teams are tied on 42 points from 41 games each, with both looking at the possibility of catching Coventry, but also being caught by Glasgow and others. The teams will meet again at the end of March, but for tonight it's about points on the board. Dundee let a 3-1 lead slip in their last meeting.
