Saturday night in Week 24 is a four-game line-up, with Sheffield Steelers still sitting top by some distance in the standings.

Belfast Giants and Coventry Blaze meet for part two fo their weekend double-headerThe Giants sit third but look as if they're too far off the top two to enter that race, while they have a five-point cushion on finishing any lower. Coventry have been sucked down into the race for a playoff place, now sitting just four points above the dividing line.

Cardiff Devils moved a point closer to Sheffield Steelers on Friday night, but now having played a game more they may find themselves further behind when the Steelers make up their game in hand. The Devils haven't won a league or cup fixture against the Panthers in Nottingham since January 2021, and were beaten there on Wednesday last week as well.

Sheffield Steelers head into this weekend's action knowing that eight wins will see them win their first league title since 2011. Cardiff dropped a point on Friday night, cutting the Steelers' lead to 11 points but now with a game in hand. The Steelers are aiming for a sweep of the Storm on home ice this season, having not lost to them at all so far in five meetings in Sheffield.

Fife Flyers moved a point closer to the playoff places on Friday night, but the overtime win in Glasgow kept Clan still two points ahead of them in the race for the final playoff place. With only 10 games left to play, the Flyers really can't afford to end tonight's game empty-handed. Fife have the league's third-worst home record, while Clan have the same return on road games.
