Saturday: Retro night at four arenas

It's Retro Night across the Elite League on Saturday night with all four home teams wearing special throw-back jerseys as they honour past eras.
Starting at 6pm, Guildford Flames host Glasgow, Clan at the Spectrum. The Flames' midweek win in Dundee helped them establish more of a cushion over the sides below them, but they could still be dragged back down into a fight for playoff places. In that fight, the Clan's Friday night victory against the Stars moved them up to sixth overall. The Flames have won both meetings against the Clan at the Spectrum this season, a venue where Glasgow have not won since March 2022.

Belfast Giants look to be locked into third place in this season standings, and they could confirm that with weekend games against Scottish opposition. Visiting the SSE Arena on Saturday night are Dundee Stars, who have not won in Belfast for over two years. The Giants have won their last seven straight home games, while Dundee have struggled with only one win in ten road games.

Just over a week after their last visit to Manchester, Coventry Blaze are back at the Storm Shelter to face the Storm. The Storm have been in excellent form of late, winning nine of their last 11 home fixtures. Conversely, the Blaze have found road points hard to come by with just one win from the last eight trips. The sides have split the series with a win each each in Manchester so far this season.

Nottingham Panthers will be looking for their first win over Sheffield since September 2022 when the Steelers visit an expected sold-out Motorpoint Arena this evening. The Panthers need to make up a five-point gap in order to make the playoffs with just seven games remaining. Sheffield, meanwhile, could have won the league title Cardiff on Wednesday, but were beaten 4–0 and now need two wins this weekend to take the title – although it could happen without them, depending on results elsewhere.
