Nottingham Panthers stayed fifth with a three-goal win in Coventry against the Blaze.
Luke Ferrara did give the Blaze the lead after only 4:30, but Brett Bulmer levelled just over two minutes later before quick goals swung the game in the visitors' favour. Julian Talbot put Nottingham ahead at 12:10, and then a howler from Jamie Phillips gifted the Panthers a 3-1 lead from Ollie Betteridge's shot from a tight angle 45 seconds later.
Andrew Johnston got the Blaze back to within one at 14:55 however Dylan Malmquist scoring 1:19 into period two made things comfortable, and Robert Lachowicz taking the score out to 5-2 at 22:21 put the Panthers in an excellent position.
Evan Bloodoff pulled one back for the Blaze at 31:08, but with nothing else happening Danny Stewart Pulled the goalie some 90 seconds before the end to try and force two goals. It backfired, and Bulmer found the empty net at 59:19 to seal the win.
