Devils' special teams earn win in Glasgow

Cardiff Devils kept up the pressure at the top of the league with an important road win in Glasgow in a game that saw all seven goals scored on the powerplay.

In a tight game the opening period ended scoreless, but Joey Haddad needed only 41 seconds to put the visitors ahead in period two. Clan were level through Scott Pitt under two minutes later, but 30 seconds shy of the halfway mark Blair Riley put the Devils back ahead.

Again Clan came back with Mathieu Roy tying things up fibe minutes later, but it was the third where the Devils would take control. Riley struck at 48:24, with Joey Martin netting at 50:17 as the Devils made use of some extended 5-on-3 time. Sean McMonagle then scored with a one-man advantage 19 seconds later to give the Devils a three-goal advantage they wouldn't lose.
