Cardiff Devils' Joey Martin set an all new, all-time Elite League record on Wednesday night.
With an assist on the Devils' third goal in the third period, Martin moved onto 597 points in his Elite League career to take sole place of top spot in the league's all-time list for non-homegrown points scorers.
The previous record of 596, held by Jeff Legue, had stood since the Canadian ended his career in the league in 2016. Legue played nine seasons for Sheffield Steelers between 2007 and 2016.
Martin joined the Devils in 2014 and has played for the Welsh since ever since, with the exception of a year in Norway during the COVI-19 pandemic, and a season with Graz in Austria in 2021/24.
