Stars add to roster

Dundee Stars, who have had a disappointing recent run of results, have moved to strengthen their roster with the signing of forward Alex Schoenborn.

The 24-year-old joins from Orlando Solar Bears last season where he had a return of 10 goals and 16 assists from 47 matches. Schoenborn was a 2014 third round draft pick (#72 overall) by the San Jose Sharks and has played with their American Hockey League affiliate team, San Jose Barracuda.

The right winger will join up with the rest of the squad next week and is expected to be available to play in next weekend’s double-header against Nottingham Panthers.
