It's Week 13 of the 2024/25 Elite League season, meaning we're approximately 42% of the way through the new campaign in terms of time, but only some 25% of the way into league fixtures.
Action this week begins on Wednesday and couldn't get much bigger. League leaders Cardiff Devils host defending Grand Slam Champions Sheffield Steelers at the Vindico Arena in a clash that could have bigger implications for the league title in a few months time. The Devils currently lead the Steelers by four points but have played three games more.
Friday night hockey comes from Glasgow where Clan host Belfast Giants for the third time this season but first league meeting. Both sides have a win each at Braehead Arena so far this season.
There is a full schedule of games on Saturday night starting in Guildford where the third-placed Flames host the second-placed Blaze - although Sheffield could have leapfrogged both teams depending on the result on Wednesday. The Steelers themselves host rivals Nottingham Panthers, while Cardiff head into Manchester. Belfast continue their weekend in Scotland with a trip to Dundee, while Clan round out their Cup fixtures against Fife Flyers.
Sunday sees the Panthers host Dundee, while Fife are back on home ice against Sheffield. Cardiff's week is rounded off with the visit of Guildford, while in Group A a crucial Challenge Cup match sees Coventry host Manchester.
