Glasgow Clan got the win they needed to put the pressure on teams in Group A as to who'll host the Elimination game for a spot in the Semi-Finals of the Challenge Cup.
A 5-2 victory settled Clan's cup campaign in front of 3,102 fans at Braehead Arena.
Mitchell Heard scored for the second night running with Clan’s opener 74 seconds into things, taking the puck at the point and skating further into the zone before letting a wrist shot go to open the scoring. Lucas Chiodo levelled at 3:08 but Felix Pare had the hosts back ahead by 7:15.
Rylan Schwartz snuck a shot through Voris' five-hole just over ten minutes into period two as Clan moved further ahead, while Simon Despres made it 4-1 some two and a half minutes later.
Tyler Heidt finished well to pull the score back to 4-2 with 3:20 left on the clock, and shortly after the Flyers were awarded a penalty shot and the chance to get back to within one. Lucas Brine came out on top of the battle with Phelix Martineau with a little help from his crossbar, and the score stayed at 4-2.
Captain Deven Sideroff rounded out the game with an empty netter to finish things off.
