Manchester Storm have announced the mutual termination of Head Coach Mike Flanagan’s contract, effective immediately.
A Storm statement read:
"This decision was reached after careful consideration and in the best interest of the team’s future. We thank Mike for his dedication and efforts during his time with the Storm and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
In the interim, Assistant Coach Mike Morin will assume coaching responsibilities and will be supported by General Manager Ryan Finnerty. Their combined experience and commitment to the team ensure stability as we navigate this transitional period and focus on achieving success both on and off the ice.
The club remains committed to providing updates regarding the coaching situation and other developments. In the meantime, we encourage all Storm fans to continue showing their incredible support as we move forward together."
"The decision to part ways with 'Flags' was not an easy one," said Ryan Finnerty. "We are grateful for his contributions to the organisation, but we feel it is time for a change as we work towards our long-term goals. The team remains united and motivated to perform at the highest level for our loyal fans."
