Storm were in the headlines earlier week when they fired head coach Mike Flanagan - the first coach to be dismissed mid-season in the Elite League in almost two years. Assistant Mike Morin will be in charge behind the bench, with Ryan Finnerty, now the team's general manager and former head coach, helping where needed. Finnerty himself was head coach in Glasgow before heading to Manchester, leading them into the Champions Hockey League.
On the ice, Clan come into this game on two-game win streak, and have won six of their last 10 fixtures. Storm Have loss five in a row, and have just two wins from their last 12 games. In what Manchester fans will hope is a good omen, their side have only lost on one of their five previous visits to Braehead.
