It's a full schedule of games on Saturday night in Week 14 of the 2024/25 Elite League season.
Guildford Flames have the day’s early faceoff, hosting Nottingham Panthers from 6pm. Prior to the game, the Flames will retire head coach Paul Dixon’s jersey, celebrating his association with the club going back to first joining them in the BNL in 1999. On the ice, his side third-placed Flames team take on the Panthers who are three places and points behind them. The Panthers have won four straight heading into this game, while the Flames have lost their last two.

From 7pm, it’s a huge game in Cardiff as the league-leading Devils welcome Belfast Giants to a sold-out Vindico Arena. With four wins on the spin in league action, the Devils have a seven-point advantage at the top of the table. Belfast are currently in fifth, having won three of their last five games but 10 points off the pace – although they have played three games fewer. The Giants are on the road again for the whole of this weekend, heading into Coventry on Sunday.

Glasgow Clan play their second home in 24 hours with the arrival of Dundee Stars in Braehead on Saturday night, following Manchester Storm who were Friday evening’s guests. Clan went into the weekend just over .500 in their last 10 games. Dundee arrive in Glasgow hoping to end a run of two straight losses and keep themselves on the tails of the top five.

It’s a meeting of the two teams that started the week propping up the foot of the table in Altrincham where Manchester Storm take on Fife Flyers. Storm’s Friday night result in Glasgow left them winless again, while Fife go into this game last on just six points from 15 games played. The Flyers ended their run of home losses in spectacular fashion last Sunday, beating defending champions Sheffield.

The day’s final game is in Sheffield where the Steelers are looking to end a run of four straight losses and three in a row on home ice when they welcome Coventry to Yorkshire. The Blaze won the last meeting between the teams, a Cup fixture, with an overtime goal scored on an empty net as the Steelers had nothing riding on the extra point- they’ve not managed a home victory since. With four straight league wins, and five in all competitions, the Blaze continue to defy early-season predictions and are currently the closest challengers to Cardiff at the top.
