Glasgow Clan celebrated their sixth straight win with a 3-2 victory over Scottish rivals Dundee Stars in front of 3,514 fans at Braehead Arena.
The Clan took the lead after just 72 seconds, breaking 2-on-1 with Tyson McLellan drawing Jarrett Fisk to one side and neatly finishing top shelf. Jake Elmer tied the game just under 13 minutes later with a wrist shot high on Lucas Brine's blocker side, but Clan were back ahead not longer after.
Two goals from Cole Ully swung the game firmly back in their favour before period one was out. His first saw him throw the puck on net from the boards, only to see it deflect off Fiske's stick and into the net at 15:07. A little over three minutes later, the Clan forward put home.a loose puck after Fiske thought he had the puck covered. The goal, timed at 18:23, was confirmed after video review.
It took the Stars until inside the final eight minutes to get one back. Having seen three powerplays go begging in the final period alone, the visitors were back to within one thanks to Brett Gravelle with 7:56 to play. A double-minor on Deven Sideroff saw the hosts shorthanded for the final 27 seconds of regulation, but they saw it out and held on for a valuable two points.
