Remote video review in place for Elimination Game

Situation Room will call video goal reviews

The Elite League will trial remote video review operations for the Challenge Cup play-in game between Nottingham Panthers and Glasgow Clan on Wednesday 22 January.

For all goal review situations (referee-led, or via a coach's challenge), the review will be conducted in the EIHL Situation Room, communicating with the on-ice officials. If the video is inconclusive, the game officials' on-ice call will stand. Should the communication fail, the on-ice officials will conduct the review themselves as they do in regular season games.

Major penalties reviews will continue to be conduced by the on-ice officials only.
