Wednesday: Panthers and Clan play for place in Cup Semis

One of Nottingham Panthers and Glasgow Clan will contest the Semi-Finals of the Challenge Cup this season, but who that is will be decided this Wednesday night at the Motorpoint Arena.

In the one-off 'Elimination Game', there are no draws, aggregate scores, or tie-breaks: the winner of this game moves onto the next round, while the losing team will be eliminated from the competition.

The two teams have met three times so far this season, all in league play, with the home team winning out each time - and all three meetings were decided by a single goal. 

After a three-game losing run, the Panthers have now won three in a row heading into tonight's fixture. Clan, meanwhile, have just one win in their last five games.

If it's tied after 60 minutes...
Overtime in the Elimination Game is 10 minutes, played 3-on-3, sudden-death. If no team scores, a Best of 5-shot shootout will determine the winner. If the scores are still level following five shots each, the shooting order will reverse and the teams will enter a sudden-death shootout to decide a winner.
