Friday: Panthers and Flames go again

Nottingham Panthers and Guildford Flames are back on the ice against quickly this week, facing each other on Friday night at the Motorpoint Arena.

Both sides played Wednesday night on home ice, although with different outcomes. The Panthers beat Glasgow Clan 5-1 to advance to the next round of the Challenge Cup, while Guildford were beaten 5-2 by league leaders Belfast Giants.

In all competitions, the Panthers have won seven of their last 10 games. Over the same period the Flames have won just four, although they did pick up a point in two others. Those results plus others put the Panthers fourth and Flames sixth, separated by four points.
