Wesnesday: Blaze and Flames still eyeing top four

Coventry Blaze and Guildford Flames meet at the Skydome on Wednesday night as they continue to battle for fifth place, and to stay in touch with the top four.

Both teams picked up wins on Sunday to stay separated by two points in fifth and sixth respectively. The Blaze are three points off the top four, while the Flames are a further two back, however neither are out of the race to finish inside that top group with 21 games remaining this season.

Five of the league's top ten goal scorers feature in this game: Ethan Strange (19 goals) and Matt Alvaro (18) for the Flames; with Chase Gresock (17), Nick Seitz (17) and Alessio Lucini (16) leading for the Blaze.

Both teams average over thre egoals per game, while the Blaze give up just shy of three at 2.91, and Flames a little over at 3.27 on average.

Over the last ten games, the Blaze have picked up 11 points, including three overtime wins, while the Flames have managed one fewer with 10 points from as many fixtures.
