Challenge Cup Final on 12 March 2025
Where the final will be is yet to be determined.
The 2025 Challenge Cup Final will take place on Wednesday 12 March 2025, we can reveal.
Where it takes place is still to be decided this week when Belfast Giants travel to Nottingham Panthers in the second leg of their Semi-Final. The highest seed remaining gets the honour of hosting the Final, which means that:
- If Belfast win through, they will face Cardiff Devils in the Final and host it in Belfast on 12 March
- If Nottingham win through, Cardiff will host the Final on 12 March against the Panthers
Belfast face Nottingham in the second leg of their Semi-Final this Wednesday 26 February, with the Giants carrying a 3-0 lead from the first leg.
Further information regarding ticketing for the Final will be released upon conclusion of Wednesday's game. In either case, an allocation of tickets will be held off sale for fans of the visiting team. These have been done in consultation with team estimates and based on travelling support at the past three Challenge Cup finals, The home team has not been obliged to give 50% of its capacity to the visiting team since this format was introduced in 2021/22, and all three finals played since then have been sell-outs.
The Elite League wishes to thanks its official travel partner, Sports Entertainment Tours, for their assistance in helping the EIHL prepare for both possible final locations. Travel plans are in place for both teams ahead of Wednesday's game.
