Four goals in just under 31 minutes were enough to earn Glasgow Clan a Friday night win over Cardiff Devis, coming out 4-1 at Braehead Arena.

The only goal of the opening period went the way of the hosts. With 15:38 played, Deven Sideroff threw the puck on the net and the rebound fell to Mitchell Heard to slap it home from the slot. Simon Despres sent a shot just wide in the final seconds of the period as Clan almost doubled their lead before the break.

99 seconds into period two, Mac Carruth spilled a Heard shot straight into the path of Rylan Schwartz to fire home and make it 2-0. Former Devil Cole Ully made it three at 29:15 with a snipe into the top corner of Carruth's net, while Schwarz added a fourth with his second of the night at 30:57.

Joey Martin pulled a goal back for the Devils at 35:25 while Tyson McLellan sat a high-sticking penalty.

Landon Bow made a huge save at the start of the third period to deny Tyler Busch sweeping home for a certain goal. The Devils then hit the post later on the same play as it began to seem like it just wouldn’t be their night.

Clan saw out the period with their three-goal advantage and took two vital points and move themselves within four points of the top six.
