Tonight: Panthers forced to wait and see

Nottingham Panthers will have to sit and wait to see if they have a chance to win the Continental Cup and a place in next season's Champions Hockey League.
Hosts SønderjyskE's overtime win against Neman Grodno means that the Danish side can wrap up the tournament when they face already-eliminated Comarch Cracovia in the day's early game. A regulation win is enough for SønderjyskE to win the title.
If they fail to take three points all eyes will then be on the Panthers' clash with Grodno. However, both teams will need to win by bettering SønderjyskE's result in order to win the title. This means that if SønderjyskE win in overtime, both the Panthers and the Belarussians would need to win in regulation to win the title. IIHF competition rules state that the first tie-breaker is the head to head record between the tied teams.
