Glasgow Clan have the perfect opportunity to respond to yesterday's televised cup defeat to Sheffield when they visit Nottingham on Wednesday evening.
The Clan lost the first leg of their Challenge Cup Semi-Final 5-1 on home ice, but now head south to an arena where they have already notched one victory this season.
With one loss in their last five, the Panthers are the league's best team over that stretch and could overtake Belfast into third with a home win this evening. Clan are sitting between challenging for the top six and being dragged down into a playoff place dogfight - this is one of their games in hand on the teams below them.
"The Continental Cup was a cool experience but the league is the most important, and we want to go into this last stretch with a positive attitude. We've played Glasgow a few times and we know what to expect." - Dylan Malmquist (Forward, Nottingham Panthers)
"We have to play a consistent game, a full 60 minutes. Recent games we've done good things for 40 or so and then tailed off and if you do that in this league you get punished." - Zack Fitzgerald (Head Coach, Glasgow Clan)
