Pride Jerseys Launched at Scottish Press Conference

Dundee, Fife and Glasgow come together to launch Pride Weekend in Scotland

Representatives from the Elite League's three Scottish teams joined the EIHL in a special press conference this afternoon in Glasgow to launch their pride jerseys.

The Elite League's first-ever pride weekend, which takes place from 24-26 January, will see all ten teams wearing special jerseys. Dundee Stars, Fife Flyers and Glasgow Clan unveiled theirs today to journalists from BBC Scotland, STV, The Courier and Fife Free Press.

The Pride Weekend begins with Dundee Stars vs. Glasgow Clan live on FreeSports this Friday night!

In Dundee, we are partnering with TayFM and Police Scotland, and they together with LGBT+ Youth Scotland and the Terrence Higgins Trust are coming to our game on Friday to promote awareness for LGBTQ+ causes and organisations. We have Kirkcaldy High School LGBT+ coming to our game which has its own LGBTQ+ movement and it's great to see how schools across Fife are working hard to make sure everyone is included. They also offer advice on how to help younger people who may come out to you, and we want to work with our junior club coaches as well to make sure that they're able to support our younger hockey players.
