Panthers with big road win in Dundee
Dundee Stars 1-5 Nottingham Panthers
Nottingham began their Scottish double-header with a big win in Dundee over the Stars.
It was a perfect opening period for the Panthers after their trip north, leading by two after 20 minutes. A turnover in the offensive zone allowed Brett Perlini to fire home with 11:23 gone, and a little over three minutes later Adam Deutsch’s wrist-shot from the top of the circle flew past Alex Leclerc to double the lead.
That lead went to three at 29:01 as Jon Rheault’s pass allowed Sam Herr to tap into the net, an advantage the visitors held through 40 minutes. With 44:19 played Egils Kalns got the Stars on the board.
That was however as good as it got for the Stars, with Robert Lachowicz and Adam Deutsch adding goals for the Panthers within five minutes of each other to cap a 5-1 win.
