Week 4 in the Elite League brought us into the end of the first month of competition in the 2019/20 season.
Saturday 28 September was dominated by cup games, but in the league, Glasgow began a double-header weekend in Nottingham with a 4-2 win, while Dundee were 6-2 winners at home to Guildford as those sides played and home and home series.
In Challenge Cup action, Belfast and Fife began a home and home series while Manchester continued their decent home form against Sheffield. Cardiff avenged their 5-1 defeat in Coventry six days earlier with a home win by the same score.
On Sunday the Clan completed a perfect weekend by beating the Panthers in a shootout, while Guildford returned the favour to Dundee with a thumping home win. Cardiff got their second league win of the season thanks to a narrow win in Sheffield, while Coventry were home victors over Manchester.
The only cup game of the day saw Fife get a quick turnaround against Belfast.
