Swiss decide not to defer World Championships

Great Britain will not be travelling to Switzerland for their next IIHF World Championships adventure.

The Swiss federation today announced that it has decided against applying to the International Ice Hockey Federation to move this season's tournament to 2021, citing the economic risks of doing so. 

The 2021 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championships are scheduled to take place in Minsk (Belarus) and Riga (Latvia).

Anyone with tickets for the event should see the IIHF's website regarding refunds.
