Flyers stay top of league
Fife Flyers 6-3 Coventry Blaze
Fife Flyers stayed top of the Elite League as they took their third win in as many games with victory over Coventry.
Back on home ice after winning away to the Blaze seven days earlier, former Coventry forward Tim Crowder gave Fife the lead less then seven minutes into the game. Charles Corcoran tied things up on the power play, and Coventry then took the lead at 14:59 through John Curran also with a man advantage. Fife however responded with three goals in just over as many minutes before the period was out. First Crowder brought the game level, before Chase Schaber put the home side ahead at 17:34. A six-goal opening period was completed by Carlo Finucci on the powerplay with 46 seconds left in the period.
Former Flyer Evan Bloodoff got the Blaze back into things at 29:03, but a second Finucci goal with 2:16 left in the period put Fife back two ahead. Kyle Just made the game safe with 67 seconds left in the final period to give the Flyers a three-goal win.
